Content | ANGOSTURA AROMATIC BITTERS: Since 1824, ANGOSTURA® aromatic bitters have been made using the same secret recipe. A selection of herbs and spices are weighed and mixed and then transferred to stainless steel baskets that are hoisted onto large percolators where alcohol is introduced. The alcohol extracts the flavours from the herbs and spices and the extract is then pumped into holding tanks where other ingredients are added. This is left to marry over a few months after which it is diluted to a bottling strength of 44.7% alcohol and sent to the bottling line.
